Workshop on “Institutional diagnostics for development”
A workshop is to be held on Friday 12 April 2019 to explore conclusions and lessons learned so far from EDI institutional diagnostic case studies. The event brings together researchers and policy stakeholders from Tanzania and Benin (and a few other countries) to reflect on both the institutional diagnostic method, and our recent findings from research.
Participants will discuss implications for research underway in Tanzania and Benin, as well as other developing countries that share some similar characteristics with respect to institutional impediments to growth. The workshop will also include a focused session on land rights, which has been identified as an issue of complexity and important constraint to development across many developing countries. Read our chapter summary on Tanzania and land rights for more information.
The workshop is to take place in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and is for invited participants only. A summary of key discussion points and findings to date will be published after the event.
